Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about OnlyMedPrep.
What is OnlyMedPrep?
A medical education platform built to help students learn medicine, prepare for high stake examinations, and master knowledge they can carry through their career. The approach is simple: don't just learn the answer — understand the concept, recognize the pattern, and know what to do when you see it again.
What is the Butterfly List?
Your own collection of the concepts you repeatedly struggle to recall and apply. When a question reveals a gap, you capture the concept behind it instead of moving on, and come back to it with purpose.
What are the 5 Steps to Master the Concept?
A structured way of working through a missed concept rather than memorising the answer to one question — so you can recognize it, understand it, tell it apart from what resembles it, and apply it in a new clinical situation.
What are the high-yield systems?
The organ systems that carry the most exam weight — from the Cardiovascular and Respiratory systems to the Nervous System and Multisystem Processes. OnlyMedPrep organises practice and progress around them, one system at a time.
Can I practice by system?
Yes. You build each block yourself, choosing any combination of the eleven Systems and thirteen Disciplines, and you can see how many questions match before you start.
What is Tutor Mode?
A learning-focused practice mode designed without the pressure of a timed exam session.
What is Timed Mode?
An exam-style practice mode with a countdown timer.
Can I track my progress?
Yes. Your dashboard shows what you have answered, your score by subject and by organ system, and how much of each system you have been through.
Can I review incorrect questions?
Yes. Every question you answer wrongly collects on its own page with the full explanation, and leaves that page once you get it right in a later block.
Can I save questions?
Yes. Use Save on any question, and they collect under Saved Questions. You can then build a block from them alone by choosing Saved under Question status in Create Test.
Will more systems be added?
The architecture is designed to allow additional systems and learning pathways in the future.
Will there be an AI Tutor?
AI Tutor is planned as a future module and is not part of the initial launch scope.
